Is the new CAT phone tough enough?

Today we had in the new Cat S40 which is the latest edition to the Cat range of rugged phones. First impression are good, it looks like they have improved the build quality compared to previous phones. We like the fact that the dual sim tray slides in and only fits Nano sims so no error can be made when inserting the sim cards.

The specification of the new Cat s50 is good and it their first dual sim handset. You cannot find fault on the spec but it did not perform well on some tests as the chipset is only 1.1ghz. The main negative comment would be the fact that the phone only comes with a one year warranty as most rugged manufacturers give 2 years as standard.
